I don't know how much you've been following technical developments on wikinewsie.org, but I've just added cloud storage to the mix (http://cloud.wikinewsie.org). Happy to give any accredited reporters, or active reviewers, 10GB of space.
Once a little testing has been done on this be people other than myself, I'll code another version of the NewsieBot we ran for the Paralympics which pulls files from the cloud to post on-wiki. I don't know if you saw anything about that, but what it did for the Paralympics was allow the two reporters we'd there to use Dropbox on iPhones and iPads. They simply dropped images or other media into a special Dropbox folder and once the files were synch'd to the server-side Dropbox they were automatically uploaded to the wiki (usually, enWN, but some material went to the closed JWS wiki). --[[:en:User:Brian McNeil|Brian McNeil]]/<sup>[[:en:User talk:Brian McNeil|talk]]</sup> 07:54 30 sep 2012 (UTC)
